David Crowley (D)
David Crowley is the Milwaukee County executive and the Democratic nominee for Wisconsin governor, the first African American and youngest person elected to lead Milwaukee County, and a former state assemblyman. David Varnam is a former three-term mayor of Lancaster, a former congressional aide and policy analyst who describes himself as a stay-at-home father, and the Republican nominee for Wisconsin lieutenant governor. JoCasta Zamarripa is a second-term Milwaukee Common Council alder for District 8 and chair of its Licenses Committee, a former state Assembly member, and the Democratic nominee for Wisconsin secretary of state. She was unopposed in the August 11 primary. The seat is open because Sarah Godlewski ran for lieutenant governor instead, Wisconsin's first open secretary of state race since 1978.

Jay Schroeder is a real estate and stock investor, by his own account in the WUWM voter guide, and the Republican nominee for Wisconsin secretary of state.
